Žiga moved to Perth to further his career in IT and management. Living abroad has strengthened his appreciation for Slovenian culture, heritage, and the importance of staying connected to the community.

As President of the Slovenian Club of Perth, Žiga is passionate about preserving Slovenian traditions while creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for both long-standing members and newcomers. He is committed to bringing people together, strengthening community connections, and ensuring the club continues to thrive as a vibrant social and cultural home for Slovenians in Western Australia. Through his leadership, he hopes to inspire future generations to celebrate and preserve their Slovenian heritage.

Miriam's Slovenian heritage comes through her father, who was born and raised in Žiri before migrating to Western Australia in the late 1950s. Together with her Dutch-born mother, they built their family within Perth's close-knit Slovenian community, where the Slovenian Club became an important part of family life.

Growing up surrounded by Slovenian culture, traditions, and lifelong friendships, Miriam developed a deep appreciation for her heritage from an early age. As a teacher and passionate traveller, she has visited Slovenia several times, further strengthening her connection to the country, its people, and its breathtaking natural beauty. Today, Miriam proudly continues this legacy through her own family, with her children actively involved in the Slovenian Club, helping preserve Slovenian traditions and ensuring they continue to thrive for future generations.

Originally from Vrhnika, the birthplace of Slovenia's renowned writer Ivan Cankar, Ana moved to Perth in 2017 to pursue her passion for natural health, beauty, and holistic wellbeing. She holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) and is also a qualified Dermal Therapist. Ana is passionate about helping others feel their best through natural health, skin wellness, and a lifestyle inspired by nature.

As Treasurer and a committee member of the Slovenian Club of Perth, Ana brings creativity, organisation, and enthusiasm to everything she does. She enjoys organising events, leading the kitchen team, and creating beautifully styled spaces that celebrate Slovenian culture. Ana also contributes her skills in design, photography, website content, and visual branding, helping the club present a warm and welcoming image while preserving Slovenian traditions for future generations.

Originally from Velenje, Slovenia, Jan recently relocated to Perth, where he continues to pursue his engineering career while embracing new opportunities in Western Australia. He holds a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Geology. With a background in civil engineering, he is currently expanding his expertise into the mining industry.

As Secretary of the Slovenian Club of Perth, Jan is proud to support the committee through administration, organisation, and communication. Passionate about preserving Slovenian culture and strengthening connections within the community, he believes the club plays an important role in bringing Slovenians together and creating a sense of home away from home. Jan looks forward to contributing to the club's continued growth and helping ensure it remains a welcoming place for generations to come.

Originally from Slovenia, Lidi moved from Brisbane to Perth in 2021, where she quickly fell in love with the city's relaxed lifestyle and welcoming community. She enjoys meeting new people, creating meaningful connections, and bringing people together.

After discovering the Slovenian Club of Perth through Facebook, Lidi became a member and was delighted to reconnect with her Slovenian heritage. As a dedicated committee member, she enjoys helping organise events, supporting community gatherings, and strengthening connections within the Slovenian community in Western Australia. Lidi also manages the club's social media, sharing the club's activities and promoting Slovenian culture to both members and the wider community. She is passionate about helping the club grow and creating a welcoming environment where Slovenian traditions can continue to thrive.

 Originally from Lenart, Slovenia, Jožica moved to Australia in 1971, first settling in Melbourne before relocating to Perth with her family in 1976. She became a member of the Slovenian Club of Perth when it was established in 1978 and has remained a dedicated member ever since.

As one of the club's founding members, Jožica has been actively involved from the very beginning. Alongside other founding families, she helped establish the club through fundraising initiatives, including community building projects where houses were constructed and sold to raise funds for purchasing the club's first premises. Over the years, she has generously volunteered in the kitchen, helped organise countless events, and supported the club in many different ways. She is also well known for sharing her famous cannoli recipe, which has become a favourite among members and a much-loved part of many club gatherings. Her dedication, generosity, and community spirit have helped preserve Slovenian traditions and create a welcoming home for generations of Slovenians in Perth.
